So why exactly did Stryver change his mind at the end of chapter 11? Or do we not know that yet?
Stryver stops at Tellson's to tell Lorry the exciting news (that he's going to propose to Lucie), and Lorry pretty much tells Stryver that it's not a good idea; they are not a good match.
